A most unusual, Gary Wilson carved Surfite feather sways below another GW piece, antique Leland blue slag glass. Set in its own oxidized sterling frame, the glass is a neat bicolored blue. Handwrought silver links the two pieces together.
and the feather ? Carved intricately with totally different patterns & colors on each side.
Just so stunning to look at!
Surfite is a byproduct leftover from the production of surfboards, hence the wild & otherwordly colors!
The pendant falls centered from thoughtfully chosen ketchup & mustard colored deerskin lace.
I’ve added a red ruby & antique Venetian glass trade bead just above the pendant and placed another old glass bead at the slide to adjust closure.
A real one of a kind collector’s piece!
