A video vintage Fordite(also known as Detroit agate) freeform sits in a oxidized handmade sterling silver frame.
The pendant falls centered from a sterling link chain wrapped with complimentary stones including: silky cats eye sillimanite, flashy labradorite and crimson red garnet.
I cut the backplate out from behind the Fordite so that you can see its cool concentric patterns from the backside as well.
Fordite is made from hunks of paint layers built up over time in the old process of car part painting and drying. When lapidary techniques are used to cut & polish a piece for jewelry, wonderful layers of color emerge like this! No two are alike and often really nifty metallics show up in the pieces like with one cut by Gary Wilson.
A tiny sunny citrine falls at the closure.
Effortlessly cool & definitely one of a kind!
